Story of city and village life

Ramu and Shamu are great friends.  Ramu worked in a school at a village named Radhapur in Howrah. Shamu worked in an IT company at Sector 5 in Kolkata. Ramu had met Shamu through a social networking site. One day they decided to meet. It is the meeting for the first time and both are quite anxious.

On the morning of December 1, 2018, Ramu asked Shamu in the messenger, “Good morning! How are you?”

Shamu replied, “Good Morning! I am fine! What are you doing today? Can we meet today?”

Ramu said, “ That’s a great idea! Can you tell me the location?”

Shamu said, “Come to Esplanade area in Kolkata. We will meet at the bus terminus.”

Ramu quickly replied, “ Okay. Can you tell me the date?”

Shamu said, “ Please come on December 10, 2018. I have holiday in my office. It is winter time and we will visit Eco Park and Science city”.

Ramu said, “ That is a great idea”.

Shamu said, “ How will you come from Radhapur?”

Ramu said, “ I will come by bus to Esplanade. It takes one hour to reach. There are several buses coming to Kolkata. I will catch bus no. D123. “

Shamu said, “Okay. “

On December 10, Ramu had kept his word. He had talked with Shamu last night and confirmed the place of meeting.

Ramu asked via chat of the social networking site, “ Are you coming tomorrow?”

Shamu said, “Yes! I will come at the right time at Esplanade.”

Ramu and Shamu met at Esplanade bus terminus. They went to a restaurant in Esplanade. They took some snacks and tea. Shamu said, “ How is your village life?”

Ramu replied, “My village life is truly fascinating. I live in a place surrounded by trees and there are several ponds.  I wake up by the sound of hen. It is a great region where I wake up hearing the sounds of birds. What about your life?”

Shamu said: “I live in a region in North Kolkata. There are large number of houses. There are lanes and bylanes.  I have refrigerator, television, desktop computer and laptop in my home. “

Ramu said, “That is great!”

Shamu said, “But I find that there are certain disadvantages of city life.”

Ramu said, “What are the disadvantages of city life?”

Shamu said, “ There is pollution in my area! You know that I often suffer from dust allergy. There are also noise pollution.”

Ramu asked, “What type of noise pollution?”

Shamu replied, “ During festival, like durga puja, kali puja and others, the loudspeakers of the music systems are quite disturbing. Do you face any problem in village?”

Ramu informed, “The life in a village is quite simple. I wake up in the morning at five a.m. I prepare myself for going to school where I work. The name of my school is Radhapur Primary School  and it is a school where primary education is given. I am working there for 5 years. It is a fact that there are no pollution in my area.”

Ramu and Shamu talked in that restaurant for one hour. Then they went to  Ecopark and Science city. They returned home in the evening.  They were quite happy to meet for the first time.
